Bob Kubinec Joins as Co-Director

Team

Bob Kubinec has taken over as Co-Director, jointly with David Reinstein. Bob is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Texas A&M's Bush School of Government & Public Service, as well as an economist, an applied statistician, and a former diplomat. His research covers political economy, corruption, business politics, entrepreneurship, and development, mostly in LMICs and with a focus on North Africa and the Middle East. He has been active at The Unjournal for years, including an award-winning evaluation of work on citizen participation and environmental governance in China. He is taking the lead on assessing our evaluation and review approaches, expanding our commissioned evaluations in areas aligned with our mission, exploring methodological and stakeholder-relevant seminars and workshops, and building partnerships with academic institutions.

Anirudh Tagat is stepping down as Co-Director, with our thanks for his work in the role. He continues on the management team, including fostering open science, open evaluation, and research-skills workshops in India, collaborations with replication initiatives, and our evaluation and Pivotal Questions work on the impact of AI on LMICs.
