About The Unjournal

The Unjournal commissions rigorous, public peer evaluation of quantitative research — especially in economics, policy, and social science — that informs global priorities and the most effective interventions for improving lives.

We don't "publish" papers in the traditional sense. Instead, we provide journal-independent evaluation: expert assessments with quantitative ratings and detailed feedback, all made publicly available. Authors keep full control of their work.

100+ Evaluations completed
53 Research papers assessed
100+ Expert evaluators
60+ Field specialists
Why does this matter? Traditional academic publishing is slow, expensive, and often misaligned with real-world impact. The Unjournal offers paid evaluators, transparent public feedback, quantitative ratings beyond simple pass/fail, and a process that works alongside — not instead of — traditional publication.
